Jon Gauer is a Denver-based musician, vocalist, composer, and producer, who's equally at home in a theater orchestra, jazz ensemble, brass quintet, or rock/jam band. His experience includes over a decade of professional performances and a discography of more than 30 studio albums. Recent projects include playing in the pit with Performance Now Theater Company (Lakewood) and Vintage Theater Company (Aurora); 3rd trombone with Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra; trombone and vocals with local band Vanimal Kingdom; and original music with new jazz fusion ensemble The Cat's Glasses.

Gauer studied at the University of North Texas (MM '15/BM '13), where he was a Graduate Teaching Fellow and a member of the One O'Clock Jazz Lab Band. His past teachers include Dr. James Robertson, Dr. Vern Kagarice, Tony Baker, and John Rojak.
